Ryan McWhinnie is a proud Montrealer with a degree in Business, specializing in Management and Finance, and a long-standing commitment to advocating for working people. He previously served as a Government Relations Officer for the union, working closely with elected officials, advancing policies that support workers’ rights, and ensuring members’ voices were heard at every level.
With a strong background in finance and a deep understanding of union values, Ryan brings both practical expertise and a people-first approach. He’s not just focused on the numbers, he’s focused on the people behind them. A dedicated family man, he understands the importance of job security, fair wages, and respect on the job, and is always ready to help, listen, and support fellow members.
As Secretary-Treasurer, Ryan is focused on transparency, accountability, and ensuring every dollar is used to strengthen the union and serve the best interests of the membership.
