The June 2026 edition of The Canadian Sailor highlights SIU Canada’s 65th Anniversary, celebrating the Union’s history, achievements, and enduring commitment to Canadian seafarers. The issue also features updates on collective bargaining, industry advocacy, membership activities, and the Union’s ongoing efforts to defend Canadian shipping, workers’ rights, and cabotage protections.

The March 2026 issue of The Canadian Sailor highlights the launch of SIU2020, the union’s new virtual hiring hall, alongside key bargaining updates and new tentative agreements. As a new sailing season approaches, the Union reinforces the importance of member engagement, solidarity, and continued efforts to strengthen working conditions across the industry.

This December issue of The Canadian Sailor features key bargaining wins, contract updates, and progress across fleets and regions. Members will also find updates on recruitment efforts, workplace safety, and new digital tools designed to improve access to union services. Union leadership reflects on a strong year and looks ahead to continued advocacy and growth in 2026.
