SIU Canada Announces Relocation of National Headquarters

The Seafarers’ International Union of Canada (SIU Canada) is proud to announce that our National Headquarters will soon be relocating to a new, modern facility.

This move represents an important step forward in improving the efficiency and sustainability of our operations. The new headquarters will bring together multiple departments of the Union—including the Union Hall, Seafarers’ Medical Plan, Seafarers’ Pension Plan, and Records Department—under one roof.

The decision to move was made with the best interests of our Members in mind, ensuring that dues are being used responsibly and effectively. Our new home is a space that reflects the professionalism and strength of our organization, while supporting the continued growth of Canada’s maritime workforce. Our new National Headquarters is one that our Members will be proud of.

The current Union Hall in Downtown Montreal will officially close on August 21, 2025, and the new location will open its doors the following day on August 22, 2025.

New Address (effective immediately for mail and parcels):

200 – 3131, boulevard Pitfield

Saint-Laurent, QC H4S 1N3

Phone numbers and email addresses for SIU Canada staff and departments will remain unchanged.

We look forward to welcoming Members to our new headquarters as we continue building a stronger future for seafarers across the country.

In Solidarity,

Seafarers’ International Union of Canada
