The Seafarers’ Medical Plan (SMP) will be moving banks, changing from Desjardins to CIBC in the coming weeks. To this end, all of the Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT) made from the SMP to your accounts will be coming from the newly set up CIBC account.
You do not need to do anything on your end to adjust for these changes.
This update is to keep you aware of what’s going on if you notice that transfers coming from the Seafarers’ Medical Plan are now coming from CIBC instead of Desjardins.
