The Seafarers’ International Union of Canada is pleased to announce that the full launch of SIU2020, including access to all new features and the virtual hiring hall, will take place on March 16, 2026.
This launch marks an important step forward for the Union. SIU2020 will give members full access to the services and processes that previously required an in-person visit to a Union Hall. Members will now be able to manage their profile, participate in job calls, and access hiring hall services from their phone, laptop, or tablet, wherever they may be.
As with any new online system, there may be a short adjustment period following launch. While we anticipate some minor issues as members begin using the system, we are confident that SIU2020 will prove to be a valuable and effective tool for our membership.
In the weeks following the launch, SIU Canada will be sharing a member survey to gather feedback and identify any areas for improvement. This is a membership-wide effort, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation as we continue to refine the system.
