Mental Health Crisis Centres

If you are suffering from a mental health issue, know that you are not alone. Over 25% of Seafarers experience mental health issues. Do not be afraid to reach out to a fellow Brother or Sister on board your vessel if you need someone to talk to. It is up to all of us to look out for one another.

Don’t feel comfortable talking to someone on board? The SIU of Canada has compiled a list of crisis hotlines across the country to ensure that you have the resources available should you need some help. When you are struggling, don’t be afraid to ask for help. If you are not struggling, don’t be afraid to offer help.
